""I will definitely recommend your company to any friends who plan to visit Peru. The meals were excellent, the best food I had in Peru! Arturo was extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of the trip (botany, history, culture, everything.) He could easily answer every question we had, we learned so much!" ~ Daniel , 14 July 2009Lares trek

Staff Capacitation

When you trek with Apus Peru, $15 of your trek price is donated to community projects. We also support our staff (administration, guides, cooks, porters and drivers) in furthering their education in the field of their choice.

Most staff are very keen to improve their English, so in most cases we pay for classes for staff members who have shown dedication and commitment. This is a “bonus” in addition to their normal salary.

We have also supported cooks doing cooking courses, and drivers to do safety training.
