""I had a wonderful experience with Apus Peru and would recommend them to other trekkers. Hilda was an excellent guide, and I was amazed by Herbert's cooking skills and the quality of the food on the trail. The route was challenging but very well worth it, and I will always remember the wonderful experience I had with our team." ~ Gina, USA, Salkantay 4 August 2009

Training Days

Apus Peru is interested in building the capacity of their staff, many who have indigenous backgrounds or live in remote communities. They run an annual training day where topics include:

Wilderness first aid

Good environmental practice

Customer service

Hygiene

Equipment care

New dishes / plates (cooks)

The training day is also an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the year and work on teamwork.

Since 2011, and joining Rainforest Alliance's verification program, our capacitacion program is now linked to the Apus Peru Strategic Plan, and implementation of that plan.
