Community chest was a project, initated through the generosity of people who have trekked with Apus Peru. After, or during our treks, people were so moved by conditions that they wanted to do something to help. Most felt that they could do this by making a substantial donation to a project and we linked them with a valuable project, like contributing to hygiene or food projects.

We used to assist in the direction of donations to a Sacred Valley organisation. We now suggest you donate directly to Threads of Peru.
