Cultural experiences Anticucho Cuy (guinea pig) Recommended restaurants With many years in Cusco we have had considerable experience with local restaurants! Our number one pick is Sumaq Misky in Plateros! Check out their website We particularly enjoy their Saturday night Sapo competition! Sapo was the game of the Incas - and involves throwing gold coins into the mouth of a frog. Like darts, it becomes addictive! Great food is found at Jack's Cafe, situated on the corner of Choquechaca and Cuesta San Blas. If you arrive at lunchtime, you might have to wait for a table. But it is worth the wait! Cheap eats are found just past the San Pedro Church

Without doubt, our favourite food in Cusco is the anticucho, traditionally made of heart, now more commonly found made of beef.
Sapo Champions! Two gringas and the Italian Stallion!
Christmas preparations at Sumaq Misky.
Great concentration is needed for Sapo! |
