Responsible tourism has a number of aspects:

environmental, sustainable, ethical and responsibility.

As trekkers, we have concerns for all the above. Visitors, however, have a particular part to play when it comes to responsible tourism. You are visiting another country with very different cultures and expectations. Please consider the following - or see Responsible tourism, in detail.

* Be sensitive to local customs

* Be flexible in your expectations

* Bridge the cultural gaps

* Practice environmental minimum impact

* Tipping Advice - please tip generously!

Please note: We are a small, family operated company. As part of our commitment to responsible tourism, where possible, we try to schedule guides, cooks and muleteers programs at the beginning of each month. This means that they have more balanced programs (beneficial for those with families) and also have guaranteed work days for the month - most important in a fickle industry. If you are "thinking" about booking a trip and the beginning of the month is looming, please consider that the best guides are allocated first and how important steady work is.

We judge others by their behavior. We judge ourselves by our intentions. ~Ian Percy
