"After 15 hours of flying it was so nice to arrive at the airport and see my name on a card, even though I normally don't get picked up. "

or Night activities (NIght Lights of Lima, or Fountains of Lima)

Day Two:

We will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to your early morning Cusco flight. (this then becomes 'Day One' of your Visit Cusco tour.

We can provide the same service on your return from Cusco - airport transfers and hotel booking.

Which airport hotel to choose?

In regards to Lima Airport hotels, it all depends on how much you want to spend/ how much convenience you want as to whether you stay at “the” airport hotel, the Ramada Costa del Sol or one of the intermediate airport hotels, maybe 25 minutes drive away.  Peruvian airports request that you are in the airport two hours before the flight departs, so if you have a 9am departure then  you need to be in the airport at 7am, and up earlier!!! (not great if you have had a late arriving international flight)

The Ramada Costa del Sol is around $170- $220 a night for a couple (so around$100 each) and ideal if your international flight arrives late, and your flight to Cusco the next morning leaves early.   15 minutes after passing the Peruvian immigration and customs you can be checked in, and with your feet up in your hotel room. The same thing applies in the morning – you can check in for your flight and then return to the hotel for your breakfast.

If you choose to stay in somewhere like Las Terrazas, located on the busy road La Marina, in Callao, its about 25 minutes drive from the airport. The room costs $60 and the transfer $20.  So for a couple, $80 in total, or $40 each.

So, where you stay for your airport overnight depends on your budget/ how much you prize your sleep!

Classic Lima City Tour:

The best way to enjoy Lima and its history.
This excursion offers Lima’s best attractions in its three historical periods: pre-Hispanic, colonial and modern.
ANCESTRAL LIMA: The tour starts with a panoramic view of the “Pucllana Pyramid” a magnificent ceremonial and archeological center built in the 4th century a.D. and considered a “Sacred Village” by the Incas.
COLONIAL LIMA: We then visit the Historical Center of Lima, where you will appreciate more than fifty monuments and Colonial edifications, such as the Paseo de la República, the San Martín Square, the Main Square, the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Cathedral Basilica, and the City Council Palace amongst others.
We will visit the MUSEUM OF THE BANCO CENTRAL DE RESERVA*,where we will admire the “Treasures of Perú” collection, a fine selection of objects made of gold, ceramics and textiles from different pre-columbian cultures.
We also visit the monumental SAN FRANCISCO CONVENT, which displays the largest collection of religious art in America. Our highlight will be the visit of the underground vaults, known as “Catacumbas” or Catacombs.
