Whistlestop Peru

Day One

Pickup and transfer to hotel in Lima
It depends on what time your flight arrives and whether you wish to rest but you have the option of doing a four hour city tour of colonial and contemporary Lima.

Accommodation: HOTEL Lima

Day Two
Depart from JORGE CHAVEZ International Airport on a direct flight to the city of Ica at approximately 08:30 hours (subject to weather conditions). You will change planes at Ica and then fly over the Nazca Lines. Flight time from Ica is roughly one hour and ten minutes (01:10), In the Waiting area you will see an informational video and the special guide will provide more information about the Nazca Lines. In Ica there is also an air-photography and ceramics exhibit. The visit to the Ica Regional Museum and to the Huacachina Lagoon includes a special guide. - Return to the Lima, at approximately 18:00 hours.

Day Three - Lake Titicaca Islands

Flight to Juliaca departs 6am, arrives Juliaca 8.35am. Transfer to Puno

Collection and immediate transfer to the port of Puno, to board your motor boat. After 40 minutes of travel we will arrive at the floating island of Uros, where we will have a 30 minute visit. We will then go to Taquile Island arriving after about 1.5 hours. Here it is necessary to climb from the principal port 540 steps (approx.) but on request of the passenger it is possible to go to a second port where it is not necessary to climb stairs. In Taquile we stay about three hours, after which we return to your accommodation in Puno. Accommodation: Hotel Puno

Day four - Cusco

Transfer from your hotel in Puno to the airport in Juliaca (approx 1 hour).
You will take a flight with Lan Peru at 9.30am, to arrive in Cusco at 10.15am
(depends on availability) Pickup and transfer to hotel. In the afternoon you will have a city tour, including a visit to the famous four ruins above Cusco - Sacsayhuaman, Q'enqo, Puca Pucara and Tambo Machay.

Day five - Day of adventure
Depending on your interests, you can take one of the following tours:

White water action: Rafting trip on Urubamba River.
Downhill mountain biking and culture: Chaywatiri 'weaving and farming' by bike
Hiking and culture: shapes of the past
Classic Sacred Valley tour: Visit Pisac, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo and Chincheros.
Relax: you will enjoy a free day in order to sample the restaurants and shopping of the Inca capital, Cusco

Accommodation, Hotel Cusco

Day six - Visit to Machu Picchu
Trip leaves at 6:00 am and includes the transfer from your hotel. You arrive in Machu Picchu around 9:45. A guided tour is included, as well as the bus ticket from the train station to the ruins (roundtrip) and the entrance fee to the ruins. You arrive back in Cusco around 7:30 pm. Day seven - return to Lima
You will be booked on a Lan Peru flight that originates in Puerto Maldonado and connects in Cusco to Lima. You will arrive in Lima at 14.40.

You can make a connection to your international flight (make sure you have 3 hours in Lima airport between your arrival from Puerto Maldonado and departure on your international flight.

If you are unable to make a connection will can organise your transfer to an inner city hotel and back to the airport in the morning. (extra cost for accommodation and transfers)
