Itinerary

Transfer from your hotel or the airport in Iquitos and travel by road and river for approximately three hours into the rainforest. After lunch, enjoy a guided jungle hike to search for primates and discover medicinal plants in the botanical garden. In the evening, take a boat excursion to look for nocturnal wildlife.

Explore the waterways in search of the giant Victoria amazonica water lily and pink and grey river dolphins. After lunch, visit the local community of San Juan de Yanayacu and learn about life in the Amazon. Enjoy artisanal fishing on a lake before heading out on a night hike to look for frogs and insects.

Set out on a guided boat excursion or jungle hike to discover more wildlife. Later, explore the rainforest in search of emblematic birds such as the hoatzin and piurí. After dinner, enjoy a night canoe excursion and experience the sounds of the Amazon after dark.

Wake up early for birdwatching as the forest comes alive with birds and monkeys. After breakfast, take a final hike or canoe excursion to discover impressive rainforest trees, including the giant lupuna. Enjoy lunch before returning to Iquitos, arriving at your hotel or airport at approximately 4 PM.
