Itinerary

Arrive in Puerto Maldonado and travel by bus and boat deep into Tambopata National Reserve. Look out for wildlife along the river before arriving at the remote lodge. In the evening, learn about rainforest research projects and enjoy an optional night walk.

Visit the famous macaw clay lick to observe colorful macaws and parrots gathering on the riverbank. In the afternoon, climb the 30-meter canopy tower for panoramic rainforest views and opportunities to spot birds and monkeys.

Explore the unique Bamboo Trail before heading out on a guided hike through the rainforest. Learn about the 8 Primates Project and look for squirrel monkeys, capuchin monkeys, spider monkeys, and other wildlife.

Discover the forest along the Creek Trail and join a longer rainforest hike to explore its remarkable biodiversity. In the evening, take part in a citizen science activity with researchers, searching for insects and learning about new species.

Enjoy breakfast and some relaxing time at the lodge before traveling back by boat and bus to Puerto Maldonado for your departure.
