Demecia, also pictured, sent a message to our CoFounder Ariana in Australia. She said, “When you visit us next time, you won’t have to sleep on the floor, because now we have a bed for you.” She is referring to the investment that she and her husband, Agustin, have made in building homestays that are suitable for tourists. (Ariana first stayed in Demecia’s house way back in 2007.) 😊

Funny, personable, and very attuned to visitor needs, Arturo knows Lima like the back of his hand. Not only that, but he makes an utmost effort to give each visitor a totally authentic experience of Lima. 🏙️

His passion for food, and for Lima shines through, as well as being knowledgeable and very interesting!

At Apus Peru, we regularly meet with our suppliers and “test” them best we can! The most recent photos show Arturo giving Lorena and Sarah a special insight to some of his tours in Lima!

However, Ariana, our Co founder, believes that he really showed his commitment to tourism – and doing the hard yards back in 2015. Arturo took her and her children on a tour of Paracas, including a loudly crying 18 month old who just wouldn’t stop screaming. Finally, Arturo got him to stop as they drove around the sand dunes, with everyone laughing! 😆

Such creativity when the going gets tough is the kind of partner that Apus Peru loves to have! If things go awry, Arturo has got you covered in Lima!
