Luxury Hotels in Lima, Peru

Lima is the natural starting point for your Peruvian luxury journey and offers the country’s most varied and sophisticated hotel scene. From landmark oceanfront properties overlooking the Pacific to elegant boutique hotels tucked into Miraflores and Barranco, the capital combines international standards of luxury with strong design, dining, and service. below is our list with favorite luxury hotels in Lima.
Belmond Hotel Miraflores Park

Belmond Miraflores Park is Lima’s most exclusive hotel, and immediately feels calm and refined the moment you step inside. What stood out most to us was the sense of space and tranquility – something that is surprisingly rare in a busy city like Lima. The rooms are generous in size, beautifully designed, and many offer impressive views over the Pacific Ocean, which we think are especially worth requesting.
We also love the rooftop pool and spa treatments, which feel like a true urban retreat and are perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the city. Combined with thoughtful service and a consistently polished atmosphere, Miraflores Park remains one of our top recommendations for travelers looking for a sophisticated and relaxing luxury stay in Lima.

Country Club Lima Hotel in San Isidro

If you’re looking for classic elegance and a peaceful base in Lima, Country Club Lima Hotel in San Isidro offers a very different atmosphere from the busy coastal districts. Set in one of the city’s safest and leafiest neighborhoods, the hotel feels more like a grand colonial mansion than a typical city stay. Inside, spacious and impeccably clean rooms, many with views over the golf course, are filled with natural light and paired with large, comfortable bathrooms that guests often rave about. The property itself doubles as a living gallery, displaying hundreds of artworks from the Museo Pedro de Osma, which adds a unique cultural layer to the experience.
Mornings here are a highlight thanks to a generous breakfast buffet with fresh fruits, juices, pastries, cheeses and cooked options made to order. There’s also a well equipped gym, and the quiet streets of San Isidro are ideal if you feel like going for a walk or run. Just outside, La Panadería del Country is my favorite and my personal recommendation for those wanting excellent pastries and coffee in a cozy setting.
While the hotel is slightly removed from Lima’s main sightseeing areas like Miraflores or the historic center, you can feel the tranquility, historic charm and overall comfort more than make up for it.

Atemporal by Andean

If you prefer small, intimate places with character over large city hotels, Atemporal by Andean in Lima feels less like a hotel and more like staying in a beautifully kept private home. This Michelin Key property is set inside a 1940s Tudor style house in a quiet, elegant street near the heart of San Isidro, just a short walk from some of Lima’s best restaurants, cafés and the peaceful olive groves of El Olivar park.
With only six bedrooms, the atmosphere is calm, personal and thoughtfully curated. The design stays true to the house’s original architecture, with classic details, warm finishes and a timeless aesthetic that gives the property its name.
One of the charming touches is the honesty bar and in house pastry corner, where you can help yourself to drinks, snacks and sweets at any time of day, reinforcing that “home away from home” feeling. Breakfast is served on the terrace and is truly a highlight!

If you like staying in neighborhoods with personality, Casa Republica Barranco Boutique Hotel places you right in the heart of Lima’s most bohemian and artistic district. Set inside a beautifully restored 1916 republican mansion, the hotel combines historic charm with a relaxed boutique feel.
Inside, the design stays true to the house’s original republican style, with elegant details, high ceilings and thoughtful restoration that give the property character without feeling old fashioned. Rooms are comfortable and well kept, and the overall atmosphere is warm, welcoming and unpretentious, often described by guests as excellent value for a boutique stay in Lima.

Hotel B (Barranco)

Hotel B in Barranco is one of our favorite boutique hotels in Lima and a place perfect for those looking for something truly special. Its beautifully restored colonial mansion immediately sets it apart from larger luxury properties. Every detail feels carefully curated, from the art-filled interiors to the warm, intimate atmosphere that reflects the creative spirit of the Barranco neighborhood.
The rooms are elegant yet cozy, the service is attentive without being formal, and the on-site restaurant is excellent for both breakfast and dinner. Located in Lima’s arts district, Hotel B is ideal for travelers who enjoy culture, design, and a more relaxed, local vibe while still enjoying high-end comfort.

The JW Marriott Hotel Lima is a classic choice for travelers who want comfort, reliability, and an unbeatable location in Miraflores. What stands out immediately is its position right along the Malecón, with sweeping ocean views from many of the rooms. DoubleTree by Hilton Lima Miraflores El Pardo

The DoubleTree by Hilton Lima El Pardo is a comfortable and more affordable option compared to the other luxury hotels. It feels welcoming from the very beginning, with the signature DoubleTree touch – a friendly reception, a classic Pisco Sour, and, of course, the famous warm cookie. While it doesn’t aim for ultra-luxury, it offers a reliable and pleasant stay in one of Lima’s most convenient neighborhoods.
What I like most about this hotel is its location. It’s just a short walk from Miraflores’ Central Square, Kennedy Park, local markets, and shopping areas, making it easy to explore the district on foot. With its proximity to Lima’s financial center, the historic downtown, and the airport, the DoubleTree El Pardo works especially well for those who want comfort, good service, and excellent value in a central Miraflores setting.

Luxury Hotels in Machu Picchu

Aguas Calientes is a unique and memorable stop on any trip to Peru, as it is the gateway to Machu Picchu and the place where many travelers slow down before or after their visit to the Incan ruisn. After several days of trekking, this is often the moment when comfort matters most.
Staying in a luxury hotel in Aguas Calientes allows you to truly relax, enjoy good food, warm showers, and attentive service, and turn this stop into a highlight of the journey rather than just an overnight stay. Below, I’ve selected the best luxury hotels in Aguas Calientes for travelers who want to end their adventure in comfort and style.
Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel

Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel is one of the most memorable luxury stays near Machu Picchu. Set within a lush cloud forest just outside Aguas Calientes, the property feels more like a private nature retreat than a traditional hotel. Small casitas are nestled among orchids, hummingbirds, and quiet walking paths, creating a peaceful and romantic atmosphere.
The rooms are warm and cozy, with thoughtful details like soft lighting and fireplaces that invite you to relax and slow down. It is actually one of my favorite hotel experiences anywhere in the world. If you’re looking for a luxury stay that blends comfort with nature and tranquility, Inkaterra Machu Picchu Pueblo Hotel is hard to beat.

Belmond Sanctuary Lodge

Sanctuary Lodge is the only hotel located right at the entrance to Machu Picchu, making it an extremely exclusive and convenient place to stay. Its biggest advantage is location – guests can enter the Incan ruins early in the morning, and experience the site before the crowds arrive, without having to travel up from Aguas Calientes.
The lodge offers comfortable rooms and suites that blend simply with the natural surroundings, along with terraces that provide beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and, in some cases, the ruins themselves. It’s best suited for early risers, photographers, and anyone who wants Machu Picchu quite literally at their doorstep.

Luxury Hotels in Puno and Titicaca Lake

Lake Titicaca is a truly special place and feels very different from anywhere else in Peru. The wide open views, and the strong connection to local culture make it a destination where everything slows down. Sitting high in the Andes, right on the border between Peru and Bolivia, it’s a place to breathe, relax, and take in the surroundings.
Because of this peaceful setting, Lake Titicaca is perfect for a luxury hotel stay. After busy cities or long travel days, staying in a beautiful lodge by the lake feels incredibly rewarding. For many travelers, a luxury stay on Lake Titicaca becomes one of the most memorable and relaxing moments of their trip to Peru.
Titilaka Lodge by Andean

Staying at Titilaka by Andean feels like stepping into a quiet world at the edge of Lake Titicaca. Set on a private peninsula, the hotel is surrounded by endless blue water and wide-open skies, creating an atmosphere that is very calming. The design is modern yet cozy, the rooms are spacious, and waking up to the lake right outside your window is unforgettable.
What really makes Titilaka special, though, is the experience as a whole – delicious daily-changing meals, thoughtful excursions to the lake’s islands, and a team that genuinely makes you feel cared for. It’s remote, peaceful, and incredibly romantic.

GHL Hotel Lago Titicaca is a comfortable lakeside hotel with some of the best views over Lake Titicaca. The setting is peaceful and feels nicely removed from the busy center of Puno, which makes it a great place to slow down and enjoy the landscape.
Dining is a mixed experience: casual meals like pizza in the bar are surprisingly good, daily breakfast is a highlight, and the lake views make every meal more memorable, even if not every dish stands out. Overall, it’s a solid, welcoming option for travelers who value location and views over modern luxury.

Luxury Beach Hotels on the Coast

Peru’s coast is absolutely worth exploring if you want to experience a completely different side of the country. The northern region is known for its warm climate and beautiful beaches, with year round sunshine, calm seas and incredible seafood (and ceviche!!). It’s the perfect place to slow down and enjoy Peru at a gentler pace.
Below, you’ll find our top luxury hotels in Máncora, as well as standout stays along the south coast in unique destinations like Paracas.
Hotel Paracas, a Luxury Collection Resort, Paracas

When our Co Founder Ariana arrived here after a long flight from Australia, she promptly decided to extend her stay by one night, she loved it so much! If you’re ending an intense Peru itinerary and want a few days to slow down by the ocean, Hotel Paracas is one of the most popular luxury choices on the south coast. Set right on the edge of the Paracas Bay, with palm trees, wide lawns and warm swimming pools facing the desert and sea, the setting feels relaxed and spacious from the moment you arrive.
The pools are a real highlight – warm, well maintained and surrounded by plenty of loungers and shade. The private pier is another standout feature, where you can kayak, sail catamarans or simply sit and watch the bay. There are also easy excursions from here to the Ballestas Islands, the Paracas National Reserve, and the nearby dunes for sandboarding and buggy rides.
One important thing to know in advance: you cannot swim in the ocean here due to cold currents and marine life, and depending on the season, there can be a noticeable seaweed or sulfur smell coming from the bay. This is a natural regional issue rather than a hotel problem, but for sensitive guests it can affect the experience.

The Legend Paracas Resort, a Destination by Hyatt Hotel

If you’re looking for a relaxed beachfront stay in Paracas with plenty of space and resort style facilities, The Legend Paracas Resort by Hyatt is a solid option right next to the Paracas National Reserve.
The suites are spacious and practical, equipped with large TVs, minibar, fridge and even a microwave, which makes them especially convenient for families or longer stays. Many rooms have terraces with sea views, and guests often appreciate the comfort and size of the accommodations more than the design itself.
The large swimming pool is the social heart of the property, surrounded by loungers and open views, and there’s also an outdoor Jacuzzi to relax in after a day of excursions. From here, it’s easy to organize boat trips, water sports, or tours to nearby highlights like the Ballestas Islands, El Candelabro and the Paracas Reserve.

Hotel la Hacienda Bahía Paracas

Hotel La Hacienda Bahia Paracas is often described as the most complete family friendly option on the bay. The hotel is inspired by traditional coastal haciendas, blending a warm, classic style with very comfortable modern facilities.
Rooms are bright, spacious and well maintained, many with balconies facing the sea or gardens. The pool area overlooking the bay is one of the highlights, kept spotless and inviting throughout the day.
What really makes this hotel stand out is how much there is to do on site. There’s a dedicated kids area often called “la haciendita” where children can spend hours with activities like crafts, climbing, ping pong, table football, games and even movie time. While the kids are entertained, adults can properly relax by the pool, enjoy the view or head out for a kayak, paddle board or catamaran ride included by the hotel.

Arennas Mancora

Arennas Máncora really stands out as one of those places where guests end up doing exactly what they planned not to do: leave the hotel. The experience goes far beyond the rooms (which are spacious, comfortable, and often come with jacuzzis and ocean views): it’s about long, relaxed days by the pool or beach, excellent food, and thoughtful activities like ceviche and pisco sour classes.
Even small touches, like daily treats brought to the room or romantic beach dinners, make guests feel truly cared for. Arennas is the kind of luxury where you disconnect completely, slow down, and enjoy being taken care of from start to finish.

DCO Suites, Lounge & Spa

Every space here is oriented toward the ocean, so whether you’re in your suite, at the restaurant, or relaxing by the pool, the sea is always part of the experience. It’s boutique luxury at its best: stylish, intimate, and effortlessly cool.
The suites are beautifully designed, with Ocean View Suites for couples and a small number of Family Rooms, ideal for parents traveling with children over 12. One of the true highlights is the spa experience, which needs to be booked in advance – and for good reason. The two-and-a-half-hour private spa session includes a massage, hydrotub, aromatherapy, and even champagne, making it a real indulgent moment rather than a quick treatment.

Casa Hacienda San Jose, Chincha Alta

About two and a half hours south of Lima, this restored 17th century hacienda feels like stepping back into another era, with grand staircases, inner courtyards, impossibly high ceilings and antique style furnishings.
Rooms feature polished floors, very high ceilings and large shuttered windows opened with ropes, giving them a dramatic, historic feel. Waking up here to birdsong and total silence feels far removed from modern city life.
What makes this place especially interesting is that it is not just a hotel, but a historical site deeply connected to Afro Peruvian history. Guided visits take you through the chapel, catacombs and parts of the estate that tell the story of the former plantation. The history is intense and sometimes confronting, but also important and meaningful, offering real insight into the region’s past and culture.
Despite this heavy history, the hotel is surprisingly family friendly. On weekends, there are often activities for children such as Afro Peruvian dance classes, cajón lessons, large gardens to explore and one of the best playgrounds you’ll find in a Peruvian hotel. There is also a large pool area that is perfect in the warmer months, and Sunday lunches sometimes include live música criolla and dance performances that both adults and kids enjoy.

Tambo del Inka, a Luxury Collection Hotel & Spa, Valle Sagrado

This Luxury Collection Resort is set right in the heart of the Sacred Valley, along the Vilcanota River and surrounded by the Andes. The rooms and suites are spacious and beautifully designed, many with private balconies overlooking the mountains or river,.
What really stands out, though, is the experience as a whole. Dining is refined yet rooted in local flavors, using organic ingredients from the region, while the spa, heated indoor pool, and live music in the evenings add to the relaxed, luxurious atmosphere. It may be a splurge, but for many travelers, the setting, comfort, and level of care make Tambo del Inka absolutely worth it.
